Shad Moss Solves His Early 2000's Fashion Crimes

via BuzzFeed

Though he's now starring on the hit CBS show, CSI: Cyber, you might remember actor Shad Moss from his days as Lil' Bow Wow, rapper extraordinaire. Well, how could you forget his top-notch early 2000's style? The multi-hyphenate actor stopped by BuzzFeed to give us the dish on all those absolutely amazing outfits from his early days on the scene. Hint: Lots of Air Force Ones.

Shad: Oh my God. I love this. Denim Gucci head-to-toe outfit. I even had the matching custom Gucci Air Force ones that they used to do back in the day. They used to either Louis Vuitton the check or Gucci out the Nike swoosh. That was my first ever Gucci anything. That was a real Gucci suit, my shoes were fake. Actually Jermaine (Dupri) got that for me so that was my first ever designer — "top of the line" — outfit I ever had. IT just worked, Gucci print was on fire back in the day!

Shad: That was how we used to dress though! That's an interesting outfit, it was a denim tan jumpsuit, I wore my timbs, extra baggy, with my Gucci bucket. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to wear that outfit. No yes you could, I would wear it right now.

Shad: I was swagged out. Now I'm gettin' money! Mind you, this was not only the year I won my first ever Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award, but I also got the chance to hug it up with Halle Berry. And aside from that, that outfit was custom. That was a custom leather baby blue piece, I wore the all-white Air Force Ones with it. I cannot forget that outfit. That's when I started doing the rhinestones with my bandanas, and I started bringing that to the game.

Shad: Look at them damn pants, man that is so terrible. I wore a [Michael] Jordan outfit and my pants were hideous, they were so big that it made no sense. I was wearing XXL pants back then and XXL shirts, that was — Oh my God. And I had my red bandana underneath my Jordan hat, I really wanted to swag it out.

Shad: This is when I was like, "I'm doing movies now, so let me start dressing up." I did not know how to wear a blazer, did not know how to wear a button up. But I wanted to so bad! And I wanted to look good for the first time on the red carpet. I don't remember exactly what brand I had on but I remember that was my first time I said, "You know what, I really want to start looking like Hollywood, I really want to start presenting myself as an actor." And I took that step — at least I took that step!

Shad: That was a custom piece. That was made by April, my stylist at the time. That's when I dropped my fourth album, Wanted, went platinum and actually, that was a Rocawear hat I wore, that was custom, that shirt I believe was Rocawear, turned into my "Wanted," those jean shorts were Rocawear, and I had on some all-white Air Force Ones.

Make sure to catch Shad on CSI: Cyber, Sundays on CBS at 10 p.m.!
