The Academy Award-nominated star recently inked a deal with Republic Records.

The Pitch Perfect 2 actress, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her star turn in the Coen Brothers' 2010 film True Grit, recently signed with Republic Records and is working on her debut album.

According to a press release, she'll be working with hit-makers Captain Cuts, Harvey Mason, The Futuristics, and Mattman & Robin.

Earlier this month, she told Jimmy Kimmel she didn't think of herself as a singer until joining the cast of Pitch Perfect 2 and sang live for the first time on the movie's set.
