Legendary actress Lauren Bacall — best known for her work in The Big Sleep, To Have And Have Not, and The Mirror Has Two Faces — has died at the age of 89, according to The Bogart Estate's Twitter account, which is managed in part by Bacall's son, Stephen Humphrey Bogart. Bacall's reps had no statement at time of publication.
The actress, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1997, received an honorary Oscar at the 2009 Governors Awards in recognition of her contributions to cinema.
The news of her passing was first reported by MSNBC's Thomas Roberts.
