Watch the trailer for Eden , the new movie from Mia Hansen-Løve set in the ’90s French dance music scene, only on BuzzFeed.
For every famous DJ, there are thousands who haven't made it big.
Paul (Félix de Givry), the hero of French director Mia Hansen-Løve's new film Eden, falls in love with garage house as a college student in Paris in the '90s and gets swept up in the booming scene. It's a world of drugs, dancing, and friends who form a group called Daft Punk, but Paul finds himself hovering somewhere between making it and the growing pressure to move on.
Eden, which is premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival before playing at the New York Film Festival, is a sprawling movie about being young and having the world at your feet — and about the feeling you may have stayed at the party too long, featuring appearances from Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha) and Brady Corbet (Thirteen).
