This morning director David Ayer tweeted a first-look photo of the cast of his upcoming comic-book adaptation Suicide Squad.
The film follows a group of imprisoned supervillains recruited by the US government to execute covert missions, which they complete in exchange for reduced sentences.
Though star Jared Leto (Joker) is noticeably absent — he's on tour with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars — there are plenty of new faces here, and the characters they could be playing read like a who’s who of DC Comics supervillains. When reached by BuzzFeed News, however, Warner Bros. kept the covert theme and declined to confirm any characters.
